Some computer monitors are designed to have little to no input lag (ASUS 247H monitors used at EVO for Street Fighter and BenQ brands as well). Also Dolphin could have input lag or the adapter you're using to use a gamecube controller. Many things play into it.

I think that's impossible. Unless the input lag is really bad, it's more something you have to feel, rather than see. Especially when it is caused by the emulator itself.

Every input I do has a 4 frame delay on Dolphin. Dolphin's built-in input display shows the buttons when I press them, but they aren't processed by the game until a few frames later. I tested the delay in two different ways: capturing footage with the input display and frame counter on and watching the video frame by frame to count the delay, and also by using Dolphin's frame advance and TAS Input to count the delay.

GC controller: original black. Dolphin ver.: 5.0-12247. VSync is off, and Dolphin is set to high-priority in Task Manager.

Are you talking about TV input lag, or the (mostly insignificant) lag from your actual controller? The first will be possibly less for Dolphin, if the TV's resolution matches your Dolphin output but not your Wii's, but there will be input lag since any TV still takes a non-zero amount of time to display anything.

Regular Dolphin on your monitor is gonna be pretty much the same as a Wii + a CRT. When people talk about netplay input lag, it's not related to your setup, but more about the lag between two players playing over netplay (just like any multiplayer game over the internet).

Dolphin has a feature called Exclusive Fullscreen which bypasses Windows Aero's automatic vsync which adds lag. In addition, Exclusive Fullscreen improves performance and smoothness. Theoretically, with a lagless monitor and the Wii U adapter, Dolphin can potentially have less lag than a console, since the console polls for inputs every 6ms instead of laglessly.

Since downloading and setting up Dolphin a few days ago I've been having Wii remote problems where I've getting 1-2 second input lag and the Wiimote gets disconnected a few minutes into playing. I've tried the method where you delete your config folder. I've deleted the Dolphin.Exe folder and downloaded a fresh version as well.
